Business Development
The Key Account Sales Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth order processing, customer
engagement, and seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders. The role
focuses on managing SAP order bookings, tracking manufacturing progress, optimizing
inventory levels, and delivering excellent customer service with high accuracy and timely
execution.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast demand and plan production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Design cost-effective supply chain strategies focusing on speed and service.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely output and balanced supply-demand.
- Manage logistics, container consolidation, and handle escalations in case of delays.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels (45-60 days) and minimize aged inventory exceeding 90
days.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Analyze data to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure ethical, sustainable, and regulatory-compliant supply chain practices.
- Achieve customer satisfaction by delivering products on time and meeting commitments.
- Support top-line revenue targets through efficient sales order management.
- Maintain consistent order positions to ensure stable plant loading and operational
efficiency.
- Prevent premium freight situations due to sales-related gaps and ensure proactive
escalations.
- Upskill team members to drive growth and improve functional capabilities.
Financial Accountability:
- No direct financial accountability.
Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in Automotive Component Sales & Marketing.
- Preferably experienced in handling domestic and international sales.
- Experience with export clientele in USA & Europe is an added advantage.
- Managed sales volumes of INR 300 to 500 million.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Expertise in automotive component sales and international business practices.
- Strong background in sales forecasting, RFQ/FAI tracking, and order management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of QMS, IATF 16949 standards (preferred).
- Understanding of international logistics, warehousing, customs, and excise.
